But even at a small scale, this legendary American artists expression has a rare boldness. He's been making these ceramic birdhouses since the 1960s when he was artist in residence at the Hans Stumpf company. These ceramic birdhouses have a round opening on opposite sides and are hung with an all weather cord. They are still made by hand in Southern California and exhibit
